This year Karori Baptist Church is throwing a Halloween Alternative with a special twist!
Instead of asking for sweets, our sea-themed helpers will be going around Karori collecting cans and other quality food goods for the Karori Food Bank!
Register your group of 4-6 kids at 6:30PM at KBC and receive your collection area. Each group must have one adult helper or pulse leader.
Then join us back at KBC for food, prizes, games and a costume parade!

“Whatever it takes for as long as it takes to restore a broken life!”
Hagar is following the example of Jesus in humbly serving and loving those rejected and exploited by society. Hagar nurtures hope, healing, resilience, dignity, family and community so that all involved (donors, partners, staff and clients) experience transformation. Hagar is tenacious – whatever it takes for as long as it takes – in recognition of the deep wounding of severe abuse. Through its social programs, commercial businesses, and partnerships, Hagar ensures high quality services in health care, legal support, psychosocial support, education, family services, training and employment.

Lots of investors have lost money due to:
1. Bad advice, 2. Commission driven advice, 3. Greed, 4. Naivity, 5. The "heard" mentality

More details coming soon!
On Sunday February 23rd at 4PM, the Great KBC Photo Hunt will begin! This challenge will take you and your team all across Karori as you race to collect pictures from around our great suburb. It’s an event that’s perfect to invite family and friends to. Form a team in advance, or simply turn up on the day. Drivers, and cars, could help your team move around, but the challenge could also be completed on foot. After the event, there will be a BBQ back at church, followed by a slideshow and awards presentation.
There will be a take it home event for JYG kids and their parents on the 1st December. This will take place during the 10:30am service.
The topic will be on Family Devotions. We are blessed to have Keith and Shona Maslin and Erin Jourdain sharing their ideas and experiences of family devotions. It’s a good time to come and speak with other parents, get some ideas and go home with a resource you can try.
